Artifact armor abilities

When you upgrade the unique armors, they’re described as having certain special abilities… but some of those abilities are never explained. Here are some questions:

  • Physical Damage Resist (%)
  • Does this apply to every attack, melee or ranged, from creeps? Are there any sources of magic damage other than an enemy librarian zapping one of your party members with a lightning bolt?
  • Evade Physical (%)
  • Suppose my healer has 7% evade, and I equip him with the upgraded Tiger Skin Vest (40% Evade Physical). Is his chance to evade a physical attack 47%? 44.2% (this is what would happen if the 40% and the 7% chances are checked separately)? Something else?
  • Save vs Physical/Magic if HP > threshold
  • What does it mean to save vs an attack?

Ranged attacks can be physical too (the Spiter, for example). Also not that I can think of.

They just sum up, so you have 47% physical evade.

Like Morale in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, you can’t be killed in one hit from those kinds of attacks if your HP is higher than threshold (you just go down to 1 HP I think).
