There’s cyrillic support for everything but the cutscene text right now. I will work on improving that shortly.

And one more thing. When I have apply Russian language in the game, I receive a window that lists the strings missing in the English text. This is because the translation was made for the version of 1.1.00, and now I have version 1.1.32, which was added a few new lines. I found these new strings and added in translation, but there are three lines in data_enemy, which is not in the original text:

@2nd-Bug What? That line exists since long ago, and there is a space whereas localization lines do not have one. Weird?

So, right now I don’t have cyrillic font support for bitmap fonts. I can put that in the next patch. Can you point me towards a complete listing of all the letters in the cyrillic alphabet? (I’m going to turn off the ban on cyrillic characters in this forum now that we have so many russian users by the way… hope that doesn’t result in more spam…)

The easiest, pain-free way is for all translators to go here:

Missing strings:
It looks like the problem is caused because there is a space after the final comma on the previous line. This make the game parse the whole thing as one line, in effect skipping the “psi sheep” entry. Remove the space so that the line ends with a comma and it should be okay.

The line you’re looking for is in data_enemy.csv

“$EN_SHEEP” <— this line has an extra space right at the end after the comma, before the endline
“$EN_PSI SHEEP” <— this line is correct, but the mistake above causes it to be ignored.

Have you looked? There are about 90% of all issues. If you can fix it, would be enough.

You can just download that XML file and create a data_eula_ru-RU.xml file with the english text replaced.

Okay, playtesting looks pretty good. I have no idea what anything says, but there’s only a few over-runs here and there, nothing I haven’t adjusted in German and Czech before. I got about 50% of it today, will fix the rest tomorrow and send you a list of the necessary adjustments in the translation files (this is what those “_NUMS” entries are for. Hackity hack!)

I’ll also update the engine on Steam so you can see for yourself. What’s your feel for the quality of the translation, if I may ask?

Here are just a VOLUNTEER translation is an early version of our translation, that is, in fact, the same (but with a smaller number of translated strings). So I think that it should not be added in the game at all.

Absolutely perfect! :smiley:
But seriously, I checked each row in the game and I can say translation is really very good. Of course there were a couple of phrases, which are hard to understand, but the collective mind helps in such situations. =)
And Yes, this is not the first game that I translate :wink:
